building community through experience

Through Native Hut, Vanessa is available for projects that showcase art, architecture and nature. By curating plant life and food, Vanessa creates and transforms outdoor and indoor venues into spaces for Pacific cultural storytelling. Inspired to bring people together through shared values, Vanessa desires to create experiences that make people feel more connected to their community and the earth. She is based in the Washington metropolitan area.

Vanessa has been producing large-scale events for over 25 years. From producing sold out concerts at UC Davis to New York Fashion Week shows at Lincoln Center, to producing real estate conferences at luxury venues like The Four Seasons, she has partnered with internationally known brands like Sotheby’s International Realty and Lancôme.

Vanessa has also produced local community events for over 25 years. In California, she has helped produce The Boulevard Market in San Diego, the Whole Earth Festival in Davis, and the architectural event Open House! SD at Balboa Park. In New York, she’s produced cultural tea parties at different hospitality venues across the city. In Reston, Virginia, Vanessa has worked with a local elementary school to transform a dormant outdoor classroom into the World Garden, representing the school’s large immigrant and refugee communities.
